Week 441 - 6 years & 1 year

     9/20-9/26

      • Week 2 of remote learning was good & bad. We are following a schedule closer which helps incase I missed hearing the direction but Lyla really wants to just chat with her friends.
      • Harper tried Asian turkey rice meatballs that mom made & liked them.  She couldn’t get enough of the green beans this week. I’m so glad she loves veggies & fruits where Lyla didn’t.  I also didn’t make Lylas food & she ate a lot of pre-packages microwave meals for toddlers.  Boy do I wish I could have changed that.
      • Harper started to wave this week.  Still claps & does Soo big (raises her arms high).
      • She was extra snuggly this week and woke up a bunch :( still no new teeth in a whole so maybe that & growing pains.
      • The basement is soooo close to being done. I re painted the trim & walls and it’s looking awesome.  Finally settled on some storage for downstairs. I’ve learned to live in an area for a bit to see how I use the space or need first before buying.
      • Harper loves fruit!! She seems to love blueberry the most right now.
      • We transitioned all the way to almond milk & she loves it. Downs her bottles right away.  Might also be why she’s awake a night... formula probably filled her up more for the overnight.
      • Lyla helped me baked pumpkin bread on Saturday & make some art for the basement
      • Harper is all done with her baby tub & now takes tubbys in the big tub.

    Week 440 - 6 years & 1 years old

     Happy 1st birthday Harper

    9/13-9/19
    • Harper is 30.5” tall (90th percentile) & 18.81lbs (34th percentile).
    • We can begin transitioning off formula slowly & on to almond milk to start.
    • Lots of shots :( she wasn’t a fan.
    • Grandpa & Auntie Katie came over for her birthday party. Was sad we couldn’t have the big celebration we planned on having. Hopefully next year.  Instead we streamed on FAcebook us singing happy birthday & her doing the cake smash.
    • Lyla started school on Monday remotely.  The first week went better than expected. She gets wiggly by the afternoon and it’s hard to listen to her meetings when mine are also happening.  But we like her teacher which is great.
    • Harper still isn’t walking on her own yet but likes to push around her toys so I think we are close.
    • Harper was extra snuggly this week with big bear hugs.
    • Saturday mom went to Amber & Eric’s baby shower for baby Zack.
    • Lyla thought she might be losing a tooth but nothing

    • yet..

    Week 339 - 6 years & 54 weeks

     9/5-9/12

    • This was our last week of summer before school starts.
    • We got lucky and enjoyed 1 more last pool day on Labor Day with the family. Lyla got so good swimming without her life jacket. Bummed we couldn’t practice more.
    • Harper is teething bad but no new teeth yet.  Lyla keeps mentioning her teeth hurt but nothing is wiggly yet.
    • We are still home due to Covid.  No end in sight as of right now.
    • The basement is Soo close to being done.  I painted the walls a bit more because we moved the trim lower.  Next is touching up the trim once it’s on, fixing the poles, and painting one more door then it’s playroom time!!
    • Harper couldn’t eat enough broccoli this week or raspberries.
    • Tagged our 10th Christmas tree at Paul Bunyan farm!
