Week 276 - 5 years & 2 weeks

9/23-9/28

• We had Harpers lip, Tongue, and cheek ties revised by Dr. Kaplan in Bolton.   Cheek ties were new for me. We have to do exercises 4x per day for 6 weeks. 
• Saturday we took Lyla took six flags with auntie Katie.  Lyla Thursday night broke down and told us she needed more attention. That night I had Harper most of the night and I guess Lyla needed me to.  We are learning each day how to be a family of 4.

Week 275 - 5 years & 1 week

9/15-9/21

• On Sunday afternoon we got to go home. Lyla was soo excited to have her baby sister home.
• Early this week we decided that breastfeeding & pumping were not for us and stopped. My entire pregnancy I said I make the switch right away if it wasn’t working but yet still I felt guilty about it. I was pumping already by Day 4 2oz but hated being away from my family for 30 mins every few hours. I hated keeping Harper away from the family for almost an hour every few hours trying to offer the breast, the offer pumped bottle, then supplement with formula if needed.  Dad nor Lyla could help and it was taking a toll on me. 
• We met with a Lactation consultant and she confirmed Harper was lip & tongue tied and recommended we see a pediatric dentist and not an ENT which I felt strong about as well. 
• We saw Dr. Harp on Thursday and Harper gained back some weight and is 8lbs 6oz.  We could let her sleep longer at night but wake her up during the day to help her understand night vs day.
• Lyla had open house at school & daddy attended with her.  They went on a fun scavenger hunt around the classroom.
• Saturday Lyla & Daddy went to Vale, Vera, and Vienna’s bday party.
