Week 109 - 24 Months

7/17-7/23

 

• Monday we went back to the Dr's to see what was bothering Miss Lyla.  She had very swollen tonsils and developed a rash while we were at the office.  They couldn't figure out what she had as none of her symptoms together match anything.. so Viral again....  We stayed home from daycare and hung out with NO sleep..
• Tuesday we went back to daycare with no fever but still a yucky rash.
• Friday we went to Nana's to celebrate her birthday in which Lyla said "Happy Birthday".
• Saturday was SOO hot outside that we went out to play very early before it got to hot.  Later in the day we went to the mall to stay cool.
• Lyla's rash looks MUCH better.
• Thursday our new luggage came in just in time.. While at Lake George our biggest piece broke.. It was 10 years old it was about time.  Our new luggage should be easier to pick out at the airport as it is PURPLE!!
• Early Intervention came over for speech on Friday and Lyla is doing so good.
• Babies R Us for Lyla's birthday gave her a free Geoffrey doll and a book - I was impressed!
• We went too Moolicious for ice cream Saturday night - lyla kept saying "MOOOO"



Week 108 - 24 Months

7/11-7/16

• Celebrated Lyla's second birthday again at home with mom and dad and of course "CAKE".
• Went to her 2 year check up and Lyla is 2' 11.25" tall (90th percentile) and weights 28lbs (50th percentile) and her head is 47CM.  She still doesn't care much for the dr's and cried for most of the visit.
• This weekend starts the Thayer Family vacation at Brant Lake.  Because we are going to Disney later in the year we could only visit for the weekend.
• This weekend we decided to switch her car seat to forward facing for our long drive to Lake George and she LOVED IT.
• Saturday morning we drove up to Lake George.  We walked on the beach, played in the arcade, went to lunch, did some shopping, played mini golf, and had some ice cream.  Around 3 we headed up to the lake house and Lyla had lots of fun running around with Evan.
• Saturday afternoon/night..  while everyone was unpacking Lyla and I took a walk to visit grandpa and found out he wasn't doing well.  We ending up taking him to the ER by ambulance and found out he had a sever allergic reaction to the medication he's been taking.  He spent the night due to other reactions he was having at the ER so they could monitor him.  Around 10pm Jen and I left to head back to the lake house where I was greeted with Lyla throwing up..
• Saturday night was filled with Lyla throwing up and having a fever.. made for a very long day for momma.
• Sunday morning Lyla was still battling with a fever and not wanting to eat.. we stayed at the house until 4pm and headed home.



Week 107 - 24 Months - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

7/3-7/10

 

 

• Celebrated 4th of July with the Thayers.  Lyla really enjoyed swimming in her swimmy all by her self.
• Celebrated Lyla's 2nd Birthday!!
• Favorite words are "stuck", "cake", "open". 
• New sentence this week "where did it go?"
• Lyla loves to share and feed you.
