Week 28 - still Papaya

HELLO 3RD TRIMESTER

If she was born by the end of this week, she has a 95% chance of survival.  Lets hope she decides to stay a bit longer in my belly.

It's neat to know that her little eyes can open and blink now.

Her kicks have gotten a lot stronger by the end of this week and she's wiggling all around.

This week I've experienced the worst acid reflux ever - really going to need to be careful what I eat from here on out.. :(

The Easter bunny kind of came for Lyla - I love Etsy

Week 27 - Papaya

Its finally warm enough to go for walks outside!!

Learned I've only gained 4 pounds since a month ago and a lot of that is her in which she weights just over 2 pounds now and is over 14 inches long.

My tummy at times looks like a pin ball machine when she has her little hands and feet kicking around.

Had my second rhogam shot this week. Was told they will test her blood type and let me know if i need another shot after she's born.

Passed my 1 hour glucose test woo hoo

Week 26 - Papaya

Daddy was busy this week putting up yet another wall decal (this one was not as bad) and hung up her name.

Starting to get to the point where its hard to put on my socks and shoes.. thank goodness sandal season is almost here...

Lyla's new crib friend...Thanks Daddy..

Week 25 - Papaya

Both Brach and I are feeling pretty much all of her movements now and she's even getting interactive...

~One day her foot was sticking out so I pushed it back in.. she pulled it back.. then kicked me with all of her might....

~One night Brach put his head on my belly because they say you might be able to start hearing her heartbeat now from the outside... well she kicked him right in the ear.

Our chair also came in 6 weeks early!!! Thanks GRANDPA for helping us get it home.
Have already spent several hours in it.

Also starting to experience Braxton hicks contractions.

Double digit day's till D-DAY!

Week 24 - Still Eggplant

My Mom aka GRAMMA and Aunt Kate came to see Lyla's ultrasound today.

We learned she is head down and has really big feet which explains the hard kicks.

Have a feeling she is taking on her daddy's height :)

We also attempted our first wall decal.. first letter (the L) wasn't that bad.. got to her name in cursive... not happening which is why there is just an L on her wall.. deciding if we want to keep it and decorate around it.. we shall see.

My Aunt Lori was also visiting this week and got to see the baby bump - having seen her in we think 14 years

Can't pass up sales.... :)  The sizes range from newborn to 9 months

Week 23 - Eggplant

Her crib came in 6 weeks early @ 7AM - HAPPY MORNING

What's sleep??? Between being uncomfortable, not being able to sleep on my back, and peeing one to two times a night this momma is not getting much sleep.

Week 21 - Cantaloupe

Hello Belly and new hair cut - finally chopped it off again.

Feeling Lyla kicked here and there.
She's still to small for me to feel every movement. Plus my placenta is in front of her which can block a lot of her movement.

Week 20 - Mango

ITS A GIRL!!!!

Lyla Rose Brach

Was told she was breech (which is common at this gestation), her legs were crossed and at times over her head.
Because of this we get to come back and see her again in 4 weeks.

Brach also got to feel her kick for the first time at this appointment.

Started our baby registry same night we found out it was a girl and boy that was overwhelming

Announcement to Facebook and family

~A pinched capillary sent us to the hospital and allowed us to see baby Brach again "the gummy bear"

Due to my blood type (smart that the dr ordered the test last week) being Rh-negative and not knowing Brach's blood type I was right away given a rhogam shot before I could ask any questions.  Will have to get this done 1 possibly two more times during the pregnancy and after.
