Merry Christmas
- Had my first 504 meeting for Lyla. Very different then an IEP but so far seems to still fit her needs to continue to support your growing in the social space.
- Covid positives are still on the rise & we decided that we were staying home just us 4 & it was pretty nice. I didn’t have to rush the family through presents to get everyone dressed & out the door & we got to just go with the flow of the days. I definitely felt like something was missing... like Christmas magic but I think it’s the hustle & bustle that usually happens that was missing. Lyla missed going to peoples houses. Harper had no clue what was happening & wasn’t interested in opening anything.
- Harper started feeding herself using a fork or spoon. She’s still in 18 mo clothes but onesies are finally starting to get snug & same with Pjs. She finally slept through the night starting with Xmas Eve.
- Harpers now says: magenta, ought ohh, shhh (& puts her finger to her lips when saying it), dada, mom, ba (cup), bo (book). She also likes to put things away or in their place.. likes to close doors, put trash in the trash bin. When she’s hungry she will walk over to the pantry & start making noises & pointing. If you say it’s bedtime or tubby she will head right to the stairs.
- Lyla got Osmo for Christmas & is obsessed. It’s fantastic another way to challenge her with math, art, science, problem solving etc.
- I thought for sure the tooth fairy would have come by now.. the top 2 are more loose than the bottom two at this point.
- We haven’t yet brought Harper out to the snow... her snowsuit will be huge... Lyla was already into 2T come Christmas at this age & Harper is still 18mo.
- We put a pillow in Harpers bed (small travel pillow) which might be what’s helping her sleep.
