Week 291 - 5 years & 17 weeks

12/29-1/4

Happy New Year

  • We spent the evening snacking & playing games which lasted till 8 and we were zzzz.
  • Lyla was definitely ready to go back to school & out of my hair.  The weather was yucky and we were a bit lazy and Lyla really needed to get out some energy so it resulted in a lot of yelling and tears but we made it through her first winter break.
  • I am getting more and more anxious about going back to work... this maternity leave flew by.  With Lyla I didn’t have small businesses on the side it really was all MM and of course I was going back... plus I definitely had postpartum and needed me time..  now with Harper and having my businesses and loving what I’m doing & my own schedule that I’d perhaps I’m
  • Finally perhaps a future goal is starting to become clearer... I always read these books about goals & always wanted a big big life changing goal but never had one and felt bummed. I need to start journaling and forming what this might be and what I’ve come to learn that I like & want now having time to me (well & to bond with ms Harper).
  • Harper is super talkative & always giggling & smiling.  This week I really noticed her eyes popping and really big. Still blue eyes so far.
  • Found out daycare can only take her 4 days a week till March.. luckily mm is okay with me working from home

Week 290 - 5 years & 16 weeks

12/22-12/28

Merry Christmas

  • Sunday we baked & decorated cookies for Santa as well as made some goodies.
  • Monday was also more cooking for Christmas Eve which was at uncle Matt’s this year.
  • The kids had a blast playing together. It’s amazing how fast the twins are growing up & adorable to see Lyla & Vienna play together.
  • Every morning Lyla would wake up super early to see what Bon Bon did but yet on Christmas morning she slept in & forgot it was Christmas.  We gently hinted without out right saying it and she got soo excited.
  • Harpers reflux is under control again & she’s loving being upright. She’s getting stronger in her seat. Still no rolling over or even any interest.  She did amazing during all the Christmas activities which was so helpful for everyone.
  • This week we moved her into her bedroom. I wasn’t fully ready as she does sleep through the night but when we moved or she moved it woke everyone up just a little and we wanted our room back.  So far she has slept through the night and so haven’t we.
