Week 304 - 5 years & 29 weeks

3/15-3/21

  • Harper turned 6 months old on Friday the 13th but didn’t have her check up till this week.
  • Height: 26.6” (76th percentile)
  • Weight: 15.50lbs (17th percentile)
  • She’s cutting her first tooth 🦷
  • Loves sweat potatoes & prefers to feed herself.
  • She prefers to sit up or stand vs rolling over.  She doesn’t care for tummy time or being on her back.
  • She thinks getting undressed is hilarious.
  • Loves to splash around in the tubby.
  • She started moving around the house in her walker this past couple weeks.
  • Schools shut down this week due to the Covid-19 virus.  Grocery store shelves are barley, people are having a hard time finding toilet paper, paper towels, bottled water because we are being asked to stay home, we kept Harper home from daycare also this week.  Andy & I are both working from home indefinitely at this point. Starting to get scary.

Week 303 - 5 years & 28 weeks

3/8-3/14

  • Mommy celebrated her birthday with Jill at the new Skyline brewery. Better late than never.
  • Harper moves on to sweet potatoes this week as well as learning how to drink water from a sippy.
  • Happy 6 month birthday Harper!!
  • Harper still isn’t a fan of her tummy and is only interested in standing up or rolling over.
  • There is a new virus going around called Covid-19 that is causing a lot of concern around the world.  Travel has begun to shut down flights internationally, cruises are being turned away from ports, they are talking about people not gathering in large crowds. Starting to get scary.

Week 302 - 5 years & 26 weeks

3/1-3/7

  • Harper all of the sudden is opening her mouth wide to eat!!! She’s now eating solids twice a day & still loving beans.  This weekend I made sweet potatoes for her to try next.
  • Lyla started 7 weeks of indoor soccer.  She did so much running it was awesome. She really needed something to get her energy out.  She did struggle at one point.  The music was going, multiple whistles going, a lot of people talking and she got overwhelmed.  She took some deep breaths, we can up with a solution to help her & she was back out there.
  • Harper still isn’t rolling over a ton and prefers to be upright. She can actually stand up on her legs with hardly holding her.
  • We went to the drs this week because she hated being laid down & had lots of poopie diapers thinking ear infection but she’s actually cutting her first tooth! Sleep hasn’t been great because I think we are also growth spurting.
  • Lyla has been enjoying learning to feed Harper. I forget sometimes to let her help with things like that. I just get wrapped up in getting it done vs enjoying the situation & helping Lyla learn & play.
