- Around 11pm I was positive I was losing my full mucus plug (I've lost pieces over the past month).
- Around 1AM I was pretty sure I was going through with they call the "bloody show".
- Around 2:30ish I felt a little gassy so I went downstairs to sit on my yoga ball but it didn't feel very comfortable so I laid down on the couch.
- At 3am I was feeling even gassier and my BH contractions were getting harder. I didn't at first know it but that was my first contraction.
- At 3:30am I was continuing to get contractions and thought something was happening so I went upstairs to wake Brach up to get him to shower and eat just in case we were going back to the hospital.
- At 4:00am I called my midwife and explained everything and she said to get in the shower, start counting the contractions, and to call her back in 2 hours.
- At 6:00am my contractions were getting harder, and were averaging 5 mins apart under 1 min long so we called her back and she asked for 1 more hour at home because I was not group B positive and the babies position was so good that she wanted me to labor at home and eat. She advised she would be calling Wetu at Baystate to notify them that I would be in at anytime.
- At 6:40 I was in a lot of pain where I couldn't breath during the contraction and was bend over so we decided it was time to go to the hospital.
- At 7:00AM we arrived and found out I was 4cm along and told me I was having the baby today based the fact my contractions where 3-4 mins apart and about 30 seconds long.
- By 9:00am the contractions were getting very intense and I think they where worse because I had to be in bed because she needed to be monitored. When I arrived at Wetu I was told my midwife, Julie Bell, who I took my centering classes with was the midwife on and I was so happy to see her. She checked me out and said I was 6cm and needed a bed in delivery.
- By 9:45 I was sent upstairs to labor/delivery and finally got my epidural and felt 1000x better.
- At 10:30 my dad arrived and we watched some TV and hung out.
- Around 11 when they had my roll over to my right side to help the baby drop my water broke and they noticed a small bit of brown in my water in which meant the NICU staff was to be in the delivery room in case she swallowed her poo. Also during this time frame I had the Epi guy comeback as I was noticing pains in my bum as she was dropping and they gave me some more happy drugs.
- Around noon Aunt Katie arrived to hang out.
- Just before 1 I was starting to feel my contractions so we called in the Epi guy and were about to readjusted my epi by midwife checked me and told it was time to push.
- @ 2:49pm Lyla Rose Brach was born!
