This week we thought Lyla might be food sensitive (mommy enjoys her dairy) so we were on formula only to see.. so far perhaps a little less discomfort..
This week she learned to giggle and is smiling alot more when you play with her.

She had a couple of hold me hold me day's and would wake up if you put her down so we were a co-sleeping family for a couple nights..

Of course Friday night was dad's night to get up and she slept in her basinet for 7 hours..

Went to a baby wearing class at Grow in Noho with Kristin and my Tula carrier feels soo much better and I want to wear her more often. She was too big for the infant carrier which was the hardest part of the carrier.

Finally caved and purchased a bouncer and its allowed me to take 3 successful showers :)

Gramma and Aunt Kate came to babysit while mom and dad went out and celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary.
At your 1 week check up you now weigh 10lbs 5 oz!! we no longer have to wake you up!! YEY!
We also decided this week that we were done trying to nurse you. It was a very hard choice that we made but it wasn't working out for you and I and I couldn't keep putting us through trying especially since you were having a hard time getting milk from me anyway. So we started just pumping breast milk and supplementing with formula when needed this week and already you are a happier baby. When you wake up you smile now :)

HAPPY 1 MONTH BIRTHDAY

Im such a sleepy baby

Went to see Dr. Kaplan in Stoughton Mass with Gramma and he confirmed you were lip and tongue tied. While in the office he lasered the area quickly (mom cried of course and gramma kept trying to change the subject but it didn't work to well). That whole day you were not your self and didn't get much sleep. You cried most of the car ride up and a little bit on the car ride home. This was the first time you have Tylenol for pain (just over 24 hours). Mommy now has to do stretches for the next 6 weeks to prevent the area from reattaching.
Went to our first baby café at Mercy where other breast feeding mothers can get together and talk and we really liked it and hope to go back.
Had my 4 week PP visit and everything is healing well. The nursing staff got to hold you because you of course woke up during the visit.
We also went to the centering reunion this week to meet the other babies.

I don't mind a little bit of tummy time.

Daddy had to go back to work this week :(
We were still finishing putting eye med's in your left eye due to a block tear duct.
Went to see Sharon (our lacation consultant) and she believes you were considered lip and tongue tied which was why you were having such a hard time nursing. This was very overwhelming for mommy.. cried a lot.. Because you were still losing weight I now have to wake you up every 3 hours from when you last fed to nurse you, supplement you with a bottle, then pump to have a bottle ready for you for the next time. this was very exhausting but come the end of the week at your weight check in you gained weight finally.
